Nuri Sahin has come under serious pressure after Borussia Dortmund suffered a third successive defeat on Friday, losing 2-0 to Eintracht Frankfurt.

As reported by Sky Germany, Sahin's future as Borussia Dortmund coach will depend on the result of Tuesday's Champions League clash with Bologna, with the Black and Yellows desperate for a win.

Borussia Dortmund's managing director for sport, Lars Ricken, hinted at this after Friday's defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt.

"Nuri will be on the bench against Bologna, but of course - we all know that - with the clear expectation that all we need now is wins and a sense of achievement," Ricken said.

Erik ten Hag, who last coached Manchester United, was recently spotted in Dortmund and is being touted as a possible successor.

VfB Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeness has also been linked with the Dortmund job, but he won't be available until the end of the season.
