FC St. Pauli’s losing streak in the Bundesliga extended to six games on Saturday, as the Hamburg-based side suffered a humiliating 0-4 defeat to relegation rivals Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Despite the poor run of form, head coach Alexander Blessin doesn't have to worry about his job.
“Honestly, if you hadn’t asked this question just now, I wouldn’t have thought about it for a second,” club president Oke Göttlich told ZDF.
He added that there are a few things that the sporting management “will take away from the game and analyse", but that "the head coach is not one of them.”
The defeat leaves St. Pauli in 15th place in the Bundesliga table.
