Bayern boss Max Eberl has made new phone calls with Marc Guehi in recent days, trying to convince him of a move to Bavaria in summer.

A few weeks ago, there was already a meeting held between Eberl and Guehi‘s agent at Säbener Straße, as Sky Germany revealed.

The German record champions are not willing to give up just yet for the English international whose contract expires after this season ends.

However, Manchester City remain interested in a move this winter, which could be Crystal Palace's only chance to recoup a transfer fee.

Meanwhile, fellow Premier League side Liverpool – like Bayern Munich – are also pushing for a summer transfer instead.

Sky Germany's renowned transfer insider, Florian Plettenberg, has since stated it's an “open race” for the 25-year-old.
