After recent reports of their interest in the Bayern midfielder, Atlético would be willing to pay a maximum of €5million for Leon Goretzka.

Bayern would save €6-7million on the player's salary for the rest of the season. Concrete negotiations took place today, per Sky Germany.

Still no final decision by the player, but as things stand, the current tendency is that Goretzka will stay and finish the season with Bayern.

However, should the 30-year-old still leave this window, Bayern are currently not planning to sign a replacement this January.

The club is saving money for the expensive contract extensions [Upamecano, Kane, Laimer] and next summer's transfer window.

Bayern would replace Goretzka with internal options for the next six months and look at Nathan De Cat and Kennet Eichhorn in summer.
