Bayern Munich have secured an extension of their long-term sponsorship deal with Telekom, according to Sport Bild.

The report states that the current agreement, which runs until 2027, will be extended by five years.

Under the new terms, Bayern are set to earn up to €65 million per year, up from approximately €50 million previously paid by Telekom.

Telekom has been Bayern’s shirt sponsor since 2002.

As part of the partnership, a white “T” - representing the Telekom logo - is featured in the stands at the Allianz Arena during every home game.

In 2018, Telekom told Bulinews.com that the human “T” is formed by trainees and employees of the company. They can earn a seat in the section through an internal application platform or by winning a competition.
