Demirović confirms he will stay at Stuttgart as he dreams Champions League trips to England

After several links in July, Demirović ruled out a summer departure from VfB Stuttgart on his return to the club after his post-World Cup vacation. The Bosnia & Herzegovina striker started all four of his country’s games in North America.

"Leaving wasn't an issue for me,” Demirović cleared the air in an interview with BILD. “I heard the rumors while on vacation, but I've always said that I want to stay with Stuttgart. I get along very well with the coach. Nothing has changed in my head about that." added the 28-year-old striker.

Demirović was directly involved in 43 goals in only two seasons at Stuttgart. “We're playing three competitions again, and it's going to be a tough season. It is all the more important that we prepare well for this.” said the former RB Leipzig and SC Freiburg player in another interview with Stuttgart. 

“I’m very happy here. I want to continue to score goals and give assists. I want to help the team, and my anticipation for the new season is great.” added Demirović as he joined Stuttgart’s preparation for the new season.

Demirović shared his excitement in playing against his compatriot Edin Dzeko when newly-promoted Schalke face Stuttgart at the end of November. He also shared his dream opponents in the Champions League league phase. “There are only high-level teams in this competition. If you ask me, I would like an away game at Arsenal or Liverpool.”
