With just hours remaining in the transfer window, Eintracht Frankfurt are reportedly on the verge of breaking their transfer record.

According to the Daily Mail, the Bundesliga side are close to agreeing a €35 million deal for Newcastle United forward William Osula, which would include a buyback option for the Premier League club.

Frankfurt’s current record signing is Hugo Ekitiké, who cost €31.5 million including add-ons when he joined from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2024. He moved on to Liverpool for €95 million this summer.

Osula, 22, has scored three goals in 22 appearances for Newcastle since his €11.6 million move from Sheffield United last summer.
