Ekitiké looks forward to new season: "I'm really hungry"

Hugo Ekitiké is excited about the new season, saying he is "100 percent motivated" and "really hungry".

After joining Eintracht Frankfurt from Paris Saint-Germain in January, Hugo Ekitiké proceeded to score four goals in his first 14 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit.

The French striker is now looking forward to his first full season as an Eintracht Frankfurt player.

"I'm 100 percent motivated to give my best and simply enjoy playing football. In short, I'm really hungry for this season," Ekitiké told Bild.

In his own words, Ekitiké “needed a moment to get the machine going”. By the time the season was over and Eintracht Frankfurt had finished sixth in the table, the 22-year-old "could have played ten more games".

"I just have an incredible desire to attack, to play a full season with Eintracht Frankfurt. I think we can expect many wonderful months with positive experiences," added the striker.

According to reports, Eintracht paid €3.5 million to sign Ekitiké on loan in January and €16.5 million to sign him permanently later on.
