Bayern Munich suffered a shock 3-0 defeat to Feyenoord in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The defeat, Bayern's third on the road in this year's edition of the Champions League, leaves the German giants in an unsatisfactory 15th place in the standings.

After the game, Joshua Kimmich stressed that he doesn't think Bayern should currently be regarded as one of Europe's top teams.

"The table doesn't lie! We have to admit that we are not a top team at the moment," Kimmich told DAZN.

"We are definitely missing too many chances," he complained, lamenting "how easy" it was for the opposition to score.

“We make too many mistakes. It's not as if the opposition have outplayed us. Such a clear defeat leaves a very annoying feeling.”

Despite his frustration at the loss, the 29-year-old finds reason to be positive.

“I’ve said it in the past but I feel like we’re in the midst of a process and are making good progress. Even when I look around the changing room, you don’t see anyone blaming others for a defeat, which was different in previous spells like this.

"The group is sticking together, which encourages me. I’m convinced we can show a good reaction," said the Germany captain.
