According to Bild, RB Leipzig sporting director Marcel Schäfer has his eye on five talented players as the club looks for a refresh.

Of the five young talents being listed by Die Roten Bullen, four of whom already earn their livings in the Bundesliga.

SC Freiburg's defensive duo Max Rosenfelder and Kilian Sildillia are heavily linked to the Saxony club.

Schafer was reportedly in attendance as Germany's U-21 team took on France at the EUROs where there other players were scouted.

Sildillia's teammate Ismaël Doukouré caught the eye, as did Mainz's Nelson Weiper and Rocco Reitz of Gladbach and Germany.

Unlike the other four candidates, Reitz is still tied down until 2028 and his €20 million release clause is only valid from next summer.

Should Leipzig cash in on the likes of Šeško, Simons or Openda, the other quartet of youngsters could be signed for relatively cheap fees.
