Report: Wimmer has a release clause

Sky Germany claims Patrick Wimmer's Arminia Bielefeld deal includes a release clause.

Patrick Wimmer has a release clause in his contract with Arminia Bielefeld, according to Sky Germany.

Per the report, it would take an offer of €5-10 million to prize the highly-rated 20-year-old away from Bielefeld, depending on if the club get relegated from the Bundesliga.

Wolfsburg and Gladbach are both said to be interested in Wimmer, who made the switch to Germany from Austria Wien for around €700,000 last summer.

In his first season for Bielefeld, the Austrian U21 international has scored three goals and provided nine assists in 25 games.
