Hoffenheim's Tim Drexler on the cusp of RB Salzburg transfer

The 20-year-old German looks set to be joining the Austrian Bundesliga giants before the winter transfer window shuts.

Tim Drexler's winter transfer to RB Salzburg can now be considered a done deal, according to Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg.

His loan at 1.FC Nürnberg has been terminated now that TSG Hoffenheim and Salzburg have reached a verbal agreement.

The final details of the deal will be be completed today – it’s a permanent deal with a total package of up to €2 million.

The 20-year-old versatile defender will sign a long-term contract in Salzburg, which was also reported by Sport BILD.

So far this campaign, Drexler has featured in 13 of Nürnberg's 15 games in the 2.Bundesliga where he has provided one assist.

As for his time with Sinsheim-based side Hoffenheim, the young German made a total of 21 appearances in all competitions.
