"With this transfer we have found a good solution for all sides," Hertha sporting CEO Fredi Bobic remarked in a statement released by the club, "We thank Jurgen for his commitment in the past season and wish him all the best in his sporting and personal future."
Bobic also made an appearance on Germany's famed Sunday footballing roundtable "Doppelpass" earlier in the day. Commenting on head-coach Sandro Schwarz's decision to drop former captain Dedryck Boyata from the matchday squad against Union, Bobic confirmed that the club were looking to sell the 31-year-old.
"We don't have the feeling that he can help bring us forward at the moment," Bobic said adding, "We either sell or he trains so outstandingly that we can't place anyone ahead of him."
Boyata maintains a market value of €3.5 million in the latest transfermarkt listings and surely wishes to leave himself after being stripped of his captaincy in favor of Marvin Plattenhardt two weeks ago. Boyata surely maintains some hope of making Belgian national team trainer Roberto Martinez's World Cup squad in a couple of months and cannot afford to be deprived of playing time.
In another piece of transfer news concerning Hertha, Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that Jean Paul Boetiüs has a medical lined up in the capital city this week. The long ago reported signing of one of Schwarz's former Mainz players on a free should be completed soon.
