Trapp and Frankfurt bosses react to Man United links
Kevin Trapp and Eintracht Frankfurt bosses Markus Krösche and Oliver Glasner have commented on reports linking the goalkeeper with Manchester United.
Yesterday, it was reported that Manchester United are looking into the possibility of bringing Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp to England.
According to Kicker, 'The Red Devils' are set to offer Trapp a four-year deal, with the 32-year-old keen to accept the offer.
The German football publication also states that Manchester United are expected to table an offer in the high single-digit million range for Trapp today.
Trapp was asked about Manchester United's reported interest at the "SportBild Award" show in Hamburg yesterday. He responded:
"As I said during my first spell at Frankfurt, it's always nice when rumors like this come out. It's a nice acknowledgement. But I can't say anything about it."
At the same event, Eintracht board member for sport Markus Krösche stressed that "there is no offer so far and no contact with United."
Head coach Oliver Glasner is naturally hopeful that Trapp will stay.
"From a sporting point of view, I would of course like to keep such a great goalkeeper and person. He is a great role model and always one of the first to arrive at training. But I'm not the final decision-maker," he said.
