Terzic praises Modeste after Dortmund's 2-2 draw with Bayern

Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic sung the praises of Anthony Modeste after the striker provided an assist and scored a last-gasp equaliser to earn his side a hard-fought 2-2 draw against Bayern München tonight.
Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic praised Anthony Modeste after tonight's 2-2 draw with Bayern München.

The veteran striker has received a lot of criticism following his summer move from Köln, but was key to Dortmund's comeback tonight, as he came on to provide an assist and score a late equaliser.

"Everyone felt it and rejoiced with Tony. He has had to read a lot about himself in the media, and that hasn't been easy," Terzic said in a post-match interview.

"You have to highlight that he set up Moukoko's goal and gave up the opportunity to potentially score a goal himself in that situation. That's not something you can take for granted.

"We want to score goals as a team and want to help our team score. The whole team and the whole stadium were happy that Tony scored.

"We wanted to win the game, it didn't work out, but we know we have what it takes. Today we're happy that we could show people that we can play good football, especially considering we were 0-2 down against a team like Bayern."
