Timo Werner questioned RB Leipzig coach Ralf Rangnick's rotation policy after 'Die Roten Bullen' were eliminated from the Europa League last night.

Rangnick made eight changes from the team that lost 3-0 to Freiburg last weekend. And Werner, who watched his team mates draw 1-1 with Rosenborg from the bench, suggested his coach's decision to rest many of the usual starters is to blame for the club's exit.

"It's no wonder when you change half of the team," Werner said after the 1-1 draw according to RTL Nitro.

Rangnick said he now wants to speak with Werner about his comments.

"I'll ask him about it tomorrow. We have done this the whole season so far. And we didn't score at all in Freiburg," Rangnick told Sport1.

"We tried everything over 94 minutes. We had to uplift the team in the dressing room. We had plenty of huge chances. Apart from the situation where we conceded, I can't blame the team. We definitely deserved to go through," he said.

In their next game, Rangnick's troops will face Mainz 05 on Sunday.
