World Cup Fantasy: The German players you should consider
With the World Cup in Qatar to kick off on Sunday, we take a look at the best options from Germany in the Fantasy World Cup game.
In this article, we delve into the German players that are worth considering from a Fantasy perspective.
David Raum (Defender, 4.5m)
After an excellent first season in the Bundesliga, which saw him rack up three goals and 13 assists for Hoffenheim, Raum joined RB Leipzig in a €26 million deal last summer. Although he hasn't been as impressive this season, the 24-year-old has managed to nail down a starting berth for Germany on the left side of defence. An excellent crosser of the ball, Raum has featured 11 times for Germany and provided two assists.
Joshua Kimmich (Midfielder, 7m)
Even if he's playing as a defensive midfielder, Kimmich actually has two goals and an assist in his last six games for Germany. He has been involved in goals for Bayern too, having scored three times and set up six goals in 23 games for the German champions this term. The fact that he's on free kicks and corners increases the likelihood that he will set up goals.
Jamal Musiala (Midfielder, 8m)
With nine goals and seven assists in 14 Bundesliga games for Bayern Munich this season, the 19-year-old wonderkid has been one of the best players in Germany's top-flight this term, emerging as a safe starter for Julian Nagelsmann's team. Considering his red-hot form and the fact that Thomas Müller only just returned from a lengthy injury spell, Musiala should start in attacking midfield in Qatar.
Leroy Sané (Midfielder, 9m)
Sané is enjoying his best season yet as a Bayern Munich player, having racked up 10 goals and six assists in 19 competitive games for the German champions this season. The former Manchester City winger started both of Germany's UEFA Nations League games in September and is being tipped to start in Qatar too.
Kai Havertz (Striker, 8.5m)
The versatile Chelsea attacker is likely to start up front for a Germany side lacking a true No. 9. He played there against England in September, bagging a brace in Germany's 3-3 draw, and has found the net 10 times in 30 games in total for his country.
