RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose has hinted that Christopher Nkunku is unlikely to return to action against Hertha BSC tomorrow.

The Frenchman joined his teammates on the training pitch on Thursday for the first time since suffering an injury setback in early March, but has yet to return to full training.

Therefore, tomorrow's match will probably come too soon for the French star.

"We will talk today and see how he feels," Rose said of the situation.

Nkunku returned from a long spell on the sidelines in February but suffered a setback soon after, so Leipzig will be even more cautious not to rush him back this time.

"If you're honest, you have to say: half a session yesterday, a final session today to see how much he can do - it's just not enough training to be ready to play," Rose admitted.

The Leipzig coach also revealed that Konrad Laimer is a doubt for the game tomorrow.
