After eight years at Borussia-Park, Lars Stindl bid farewell to Gladbach, making his final appearance for the club in today's 2-0 win over Augsburg.

In his 271st game for 'Die Fohlen', Stindl played a key role in his team's victory, setting up a goal, but didn't get on the scoresheet himself, although his teammates repeatedly tried to set him up in the second half.

"Almost everything worked out, but of course I would have liked to score," Stindl told Kicker after the game.

"I am grateful to everyone that I was able to experience things here," he added, looking back on his time with Gladbach.

"I loved playing for Borussia with all my heart. They were the best years of my life so far."

Stindl will return to his boyhood club Karlsruher SC this summer.
