Dier named as a possible replacement for Pavard

Tottenham's Eric Dier is among the candidates to replace Benjamin Pavard at Bayern Munich.
Eric Dier is the latest name to emerge in Bayern Munich's search for a replacement for Benajming Pavard.

According to several reports, the Tottenham player is being considered as an alternative to Chelsea's Trevoh Chalobah as the Bavarians look to bring in a defender before the transfer deadline.

As well as playing at right-back and centre-back, Dier is also capable of playing in defensive midfield, a position that Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel has been looking to strengthen throughout the summer.

Pavard has left Munich and is set to complete his move to Inter for a reported fee of €30 million plus €2-3 million in add-ons.
