Bayern confirm fresh injury setback for Gnabry

FC Bayern München confirmed some bitter news for attacker Serge Gnabry on Sunday.
Only recently returned from a forearm fracture suffered this autumn, FC Bayern München and German national team attacker must again step off the pitch. The 28-year-old was limited to just five minutes of action off the bench in yesterday's 1-5 thrashing away at Eintracht Frankfurt. On Sunday morning, Bayern confirmed that a muscle injury in Gnabry's left abductor would rule him out most likely for the duration of the calendar year.

Gnabry has yet to score a goal in five league appearances this year. He's made just three league starts for the record champions and only made Thomas Tuchel's XI one other time in the Pokal and Champions' League. The latest injury is Gnabry's third set-back of the current campaign. The various issues have precluded him from serving the full 90 minutes in any of the three competitions.
