Speaking to Sport Bild about the title race, Thomas Müller says that while Bayern are keeping a close eye on Leverkusen's results, they are trying to focus on their own game first and foremost.
"We acknowledge Leverkusen's performances, nothing more. On match days, you see who they are playing and try to look at the result. Then you hope: Hey, now drop some points. And when you see that it's 3-0 for them at half-time, you say to yourself: 'OK, damn it! We have to try again next week,'" Müller said.
"We have big goals and we have everything in our hands. Our focus is on our own game. We want to be champions."
Bayern have won the Bundesliga 11 times in a row, but Borussia Dortmund came close to ending their run last season, leading the league going into the final matchday, only to see the title slip through their fingers.
But with Dortmund 15 points adrift of Leverkusen after 17 games, Müller doesn't see the Black and Yellows getting involved in the title race again this season.
"I don't think Dortmund will be in the title race on the last day of the season," he said.
