RB Leipzig boss: We're not thinking about letting Timo Werner go at all

RB Leipzig aren't considering letting Timo Werner go at the moment, says the club's sporting director, Markus Krösche.
RB Leipzig sporting director Markus Krösche has reacted to reports linking Timo Werner with a move to England.

Werner has reportedly attracted interest from Manchester United and Liverpool, but Krösche insists RB Leipzig aren't considering letting the 23-year-old leave at the moment.

"Timo just extended his contract with us recently, and we're not thinking about letting him go at all," Krösche told Bild.

Werner's contract, which runs until 2023, includes a release clause, which could rise to €60 million depending on his performances, according to Bild. At the same time, however, the clause will drop from year to year, as per the report.

Meanwhile, Kicker has claimed that Werner's release clause has been set at just €30 million.

Werner, who bagged a hat-trick in RB Leipzig's 8-0 thrashing of Mainz on Saturday, has netted 13 times in 15 appearances this season.
