Alex Nübel has agreed to join Bayern München on a five-year deal after his contract with Schalke 04 runs out at the end of the season, according to Bild.
Schalke have been fighting to keep Nübel at Veltins-Arena, but the Gelsenkirchen club announced earlier today that the highly-rated goalkeeper has decided to turn down a contract extension.
According to the report from Bild, Nübel is prepared to be Bayern's second-choice goalkeeper behind Manuel Neuer following his arrival at Allianz Arena, but it has been agreed that the 23-year-old will get to play from time to time.
Manuel Neuer's contract with Bayern runs until 2021, but the German international is expected to sign a new deal until 2023.
Neuer also made the switch to Bayern from Schalke 04 and has made 362 appearances for the Bavarians since his move from 'The Royal Blues' in 2011.
