Borussia Dortmund led Real Madrid 2-0 at the break at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, but squandered the lead in the second half.

In the end, Nuri Sahin's side lost 5-2 after a second half that left Felix Nmecha frustrated.

“I thought we came into the game very well, had control, made good passes. The second half was different, we didn't show the same face,” Nmecha said in a post-match interview.

“We had the ball less. And we know what Real Madrid are like at home, they put the ball away. We gave the ball away too much and they got confident. If you don't close the spaces, they will score goals.”

The defeat leaves Dortmund with six points from three games in the Champions League this season.
