Borussia Dortmund coach Nuri Sahin has revealed that Gregor Kobel has been nursing a stomach problem ahead of Tuesday's Champions League clash with Real Madrid.

However, the goalkeeper should still be available, along with Niklas Süle and Pascal Gross.

Süle missed Friday's 2-1 win over St. Pauli through illness, while Gross picked up a knock and was taken off at the break. But after taking part in Dortmund's final pre-match training session, they're in the squad.

"'Greg' [Kobel] had a slight stomach problem, but it was just a precautionary measure. We expect him to be available. 'Niki' [Süle] is back and Pascal [Gross] is fine."

In a rematch of last season's Champions League final, Dortmund will be looking to avenge their 2-0 defeat at Wembley.

Sahin, who played for Real Madrid during his playing career, discussed what it will take for the Black and Yellows to cause an upset against his former employers.

"Mentality is not enough to survive against Real Madrid. We need quality and conviction - and a bit of luck," the BVB coach said.

“We have to play football. If we just defend, they'll get through eventually. We've made a good start to the competition and we want to show that.”

Dortmund are top of the Champions League standings after beating Club Brugge 3-0 and Celtic 7-1.

Real Madrid have three points after overcoming Stuttgart 3-1 and suffering a shock 1-0 defeat to Lille.
