Eintracht Frankfurt welcome Rigas FS to the Deutsche Bank Park this evening for a round three match-up in the 2024/25 Europa League. SGE trainer Dino Toppmöller makes four changes to the XI that lined up against Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the league last Saturday.
Can Uzun - who was promised his first Eintracht start at a presser yesterday - starts over Mario Götze. Igor Matanovic - also promised minutes yesterday - gives Hugo Ekitiké a break.
Mahmoud Dahoud also fils in for Hugo Larsson in midfield while Aurele Amenda takes over for Robin Koch. Toppmöller's tactics aren't exactly easy to read, but a repeat of the 4-2-2-2 formation used against Leverkusen seems likely.
Uzun's placement will prove key. A 5-3-2, 3-4-2-1, or 5-1-2-2 could also crystallize once the team gets set. Only the top axis of Marmoush and Matanoic counts as certain.
