Frankfurt's Goncalo Paciencia to miss Bundesliga restart due to injury

Eintracht Frankfurt will be without Goncalo Paciencia for their game against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday.
Goncalo Paciencia has been ruled out of Eintracht Frankfurt's home game against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday due to a muscle injury.

Frankfurt's only other absentee is Marco Russ, who is sidelined with an achilles tendon rupture.

"Goncalo Paciencia will definitely miss out. He has picked up a muscle injury and will unfortunately not be available for now. Marco Russ is also still unavailable - otherwise we're at full strength," Frankfurt coach Adi Hütter said at the pre-match press conference, as cited by the club.

Hütter also said the resumption of the Bundesliga may represent a fresh start for some of the players, who struggled to get in the team before football was suspended.

"Perhaps the new situation might be a new opportunity for one or two. Players who maybe weren't on the radar might impose themselves. It will be an interesting period," he said and added:

"Obviously we've had very little time to properly prepare for 90 minutes on the pitch, so it will come down to which team can physically assert themselves. But all the same, it will also come down to tactics and individual quality."
