Report: RB Leipzig want to extend the loans of Angelino and Patrik Schick

RB Leipzig can't afford to sign Angelino and Patrik Schick on permanent deals from Manchester City and AS Roma respectively. Therefore, 'Die Roten Bullen' are hoping to keep both players on loan.
RB Leipzig are hoping to agree deals to sign six players with a total transfer budget of just €25 million this summer, according to Kicker.

Two of their targets – Hee-chan Hwang and Benjamin Henrichs – have already arrived at Red Bull Arena from RB Salzburg and AS Monaco respectively.

Hwang cost €9 million upfront plus a further €5 million in future bonus payments while Henrichs has joined the club on loan with an option to buy of around €15 million.

According to Kicker, RB Leipzig are now hoping to extend the loans of Angelino (Manchester City) and Patrik Schick (AS Roma) as they can't afford to buy the two players.

While Manchester City are willing to talk, Roma want to sell Schick instead of sending him out on loan again. In both cases, Leipzig are biding their time.

'Die Roten Bullen' are also understood to be looking for a defensive midfielder and an offensive player.

Milot Rashica has been seen as an option for the latter position, but Leipzig's hopes of signing the Kosovan international suffered a blow when Werder Bremen secured their Bundesliga survival on Monday.

If Werder had been relegated, the Kosovan international's release clause would have dropped from €35 million to €15 million. But now that Werder managed to avoid the drop, Leipzig may not be able to afford him.
