Bayern win Champions League after Coman sinks PSG
Bayern München secured the treble with a 1-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final at Estadio da Luz in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon.
Kingsley Coman scored against his former club as Bayern München beat Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 to win the Champions League.
Neymar could have opened the scoring 18 minutes into the game, but Manuel Neyer made a wonderful double save to deny the Brazilian international.
Four minutes later, Robert Lewandowski hit the post for Bayern after turning in the box, and the Polish international was denied once more in the 31th minute, when his header was parried by Keylor Navas.
Kylian Mbappé missed a glorious chance shortly before the break after David Alaba played the ball straight to a PSG player. A moment later, Bayern appealed for a penalty after Kingsley Coman went to the ground after a challenge from Thilo Kehrer, but the referee waved away their protests.
Kingsley Coman, who was given the nod ahead of Ivan Perisic, scored the match-winning goal just shy of the hour mark, heading in a cross from Joshua Kimmich at the back post. He nearly made it 2-0 afterwards from a similar position, but the ball was cleared by the PSG defence.
Coman's goal handed the initiative to PSG, but the French champions weren't able to open the Bayern defence.
Bayern, who have already won the Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal this season, last clinched the Champions League in the 2012/13 season that also saw them win the treble.
