Report: FC Copenhagen seek to acquire underutilized Bruun Larsen

Even on a Hoffenheim squad best by corona-infections and rotative needs in the Europa League, 22-year-old Danish international Jacob Bruun Larsen still hasn't found playing time.

Germany's SportBild and Danish website NordicBet.de report that a move to FC København may be near.

Danish midfielder Jacob Bruun Larsen still hasn't found his way into Sebastian Hoeneß's starting XI. The former BVB prospect, who cost the Sinsheimers nearly €10 million in last January's transfer window, can hardly be satisfied with a paltry three appearances across all competitions this year.

Since declaring his impatience with a lack of playing time in an interview with Spox this past October, Larsen only made Hoffenheim's bench squad twice. He's also been conspicuously absent from the team's training sessions. An injury is cited, but not elaborated upon.

One German and one Danish source now report that the winger may be in talks to return to his native country via a move to FC Copenhagen.

Germany's "Bild Zeitung" states that the Bundesliga club plans a meet with administrators from the Løverne in early January. Danish journalist Søren Sorgenfri cites his sources at the club to report that Larsen has been a "hot topic" in the Danish capital since last summer.

A move would very much make sense for the 22-year-old attacker, whom transfermarkt.de still values an €8 million player. Larsen has made just 15 appearances for die Kraichgauer in the calendar year since he switched clubs.
