Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the signing of German youth international Mussa Kaba to a professional contract.

The midfielder signed a long-term deal with the Westphalian giants this afternoon, Thursday 14 May at BVB's training ground Brackel.

The German U-17 international joined Dortmund in 2018 and progressed through the club's youth teams from the U-11 level.

Kaba played 6 games for the U-23 team in the Regionalliga West and also started twice in the Premier League International Cup.

BVB would go on to win the tournament on Tuesday evening with a dramatic 1-0 victory in the final against Real Madrid.

“Mussa possesses enormous footballing abilities and an impressive physique," said BVB sporting director Ole Book.

"With his potential, he is one of the greatest talents in German football. We believe he can make the leap into our professional squad.

“However, we will also give him the necessary time along the way to develop,” the 40-year-old explained.
