Bayer Leverkusen's leadership duo behind the scenes are continuing their partnership with the Rhineland club.

As the Leverkusen announced this morning, Fernando Carro will remain as the club's chairman of the board until 2029.

Meanwhile, sporting director Simon Rolfes has extended his contract until 2031 and will stay in his position for at least another five years.

"Bayer 04 has been my sporting home for many years. This contract extension therefore means a great deal to me.

"Together we have created a strong foundation on which we want to continue building," said Rolfes regarding his extension.

Rolfes and Carro's combined achievements culminated in wining the Bundesliga championship title in the 2023-24 season.

The Rhinelanders have been extremely pleased with the two officials, therefore it made logical sense to extend their contracts.
