Having made just two starts in the Bundesliga this season, Alexander Prass could leave Hoffenheim in January in search of more regular playing time.

According to RTL/ntv and Sport.de, Borussia Mönchengladbach have set their sights on the 24-year-old, who can operate both as a left-back and a left midfielder.

A permanent transfer seems unlikely, as financially constrained Gladbach are unlikely to meet Hoffenheim’s demands for the Austrian international, who joined the club for €12 million in the summer of 2024. But a loan deal could be a possibility.

Gladbach currently have Lukas Ullrich and Luca Netz competing for the spot on the left side of defence. With Netz’s contract running until 2026, he could potentially be shipped out, clearing the way for Prass to step in.
