Rapp and Toppmöller rave over Marmoush's blazing form

At their joint post-match presser yesterday, Eintracht Frankfurt and Holstein Kiel head-coaches Dino Toppmöller and Marcel Rapp could only marvel at the latest performance of on-fire SGE attacker Omar Marmoush.

Eintracht Frankfurt trainer Dino Toppmöller declared himself fully satisfied after his team shook off a morale killing draw in the Europa League on Thursday and earned their fourth consecutive Bundesliga win on Sunday. Speaking to German broadcaster DAZN yesterday, the SGE gaffer praised his team for overcoming a "mental setback" and "showing excellent resilience".

Later at his post-match presser, Toppmöller had to find the words to describe the scintillating form of attacker Omar Marmoush. When it came to the current set of skills Marmoush offers his team, Toppmöller's "man-of-the-moment" produced quite a few words. Eintracht's recent success owes much to the Egyptian international.

"He's responsible for producing danger up front," Toppmöller said, "shooting in goals and setting up others. He's very difficult to defend due to his pace and how fast he can run deep."

"He can also sneak in from close range," the coach continued, "exhibit a great touch and play some great balls. He's in outstanding form at the moment. He's feeling comfortable."

"That's the key to his success these days," Toppmöller concluded, "He feels comfortable with this club and the group and is thus a key component for us."

Kiel's head-coach Marcel Rapp also found himself answering questions about the 25-year-old Egyptian. The German trainer on the losing side didn't really have much to add beyond the fact that his team couldn't hope to effectively mark a player in such excellent form.

"Omar Marmoush is just a good player," Rapp said, "He'll likely be playing for other clubs [in his career]. It's not easy to just say, 'We'll defend him'. Should we double team him? Also not so simple."

"A good player always finds the spaces," Rapp continued, "As Dino said, he can run in deep or sneak in short. That's because he's a great player. It's naturally difficult to keep a player like that in check."
