After weeks of speculation over Nick Woltemade’s future, VfB Stuttgart chairman Alexander Wehrle has seemingly ruled out a move to Bayern Munich once and for all.

“Nick Woltemade is our player and will play for us this year,” Wehrle stressede in an interview with Sky ahead of Stuttgart’s Supercup clash with Bayern on Saturday.

“The matter is closed. Bayern Munich are aware of this. We communicated it collectively.”

Following weeks of back-and-forth between the two clubs, Wehrle insisted that the transfer is now completley off the table.

“The issue is settled. Nick Woltemade will play for VfB Stuttgart next season,” Wehrle emphasized.

Regarding the possibility of a salary increase for the 23-year-old, who had reportedly already agreed personal terms with Bayern, Wehrle added:

“We already met with his agent a few weeks ago. We will do so again in the coming days, without question. Our priority is to ensure that all parties are satisfied.”

It was recently reported that Bayern had made an offer of €60 million plus bonuses and a resale clause, but Stuttgart rejected the bid.
