It’s David versus Goliath – but this time Arminia Bielefeld have the opportunity to dethrone the greatest Goliath of all.

The 3.Liga side host reigning 2024-25 DFB-Pokal winners Bayer Leverkusen tomorrow, and head coach Mitch Kniat prepared for the battle.

“We wanted to write our own cup history from the beginning, and we expect that there will be another chapter to add.

“We want to go to Berlin! If you are scared, you better just stay at home. We have to be there as a team exactly when we need to be,” Kniat explained.

The Bielefeld gaffer is under no illusions of the task that awaits them, but they have dumped out three Bundesliga sides on their way thus far.

Now in the club’s fourth-ever semi-final since 1935, history finally beckons – a win takes Die Arminen to their first ever German cup final.

With only Roberts Uldrikis (cruciate ligament tear) absent, a clean bill of health and a voracious atmosphere sets the bedrock for another riveting night at the SchucoArena.
