FC Barcelona recently explored the possibility of making a late swoop for Borussia Dortmund forward Serhou Guirassy, according to Bild.

However, the Catalan giants quickly discarded the idea after learning that the Guinean international earns €10 million per year at the Bundesliga club.

Guirassy still has two years remaining on his contract and is reportedly open to a move away from Dortmund, but nothing concrete has emerged so far.

Barcelona, meanwhile, would ideally like to sign Julián Alvarez to lead their attack, but Atlético Madrid are blocking a potential transfer.

German U21 international and Club Brugge forward Nicolò Tresoldi is reportedly one of the alternatives being considered by the Catalan giants.
