Bochum confirm arrival of another attacker

VfL Bochum unveiled their second new signing in as many days on Saturday afternoon.

After confirming that they had picked up striker Myron Boadu on loan yesterday, VfL Bochum announced that they had picked up another attacker for the forthcoming season on Saturday. Twenty-one-year-old Guinean international Aliou Baldé will join the Revierklub on loan from OGC Nice. The winger - capable of being deployed on either side of attack - can also join Bochum permanently via a purchase option.

Baldé made severn Ligue 1 appearances for Nice last season. He most recently represented Guinea at the Paris Olympics, garnering an assist over the course of three group stage fixtures. The Senegalese-born attacker went the full 90 minutes over the course of all of Guinea's Olympic matches. He remains under contract with his parent club through 2028.

"Aliou is a creative attacking player who can create game-changing situations with his exceptional explosiveness, speed, and strong one-on-one play" VfL sporting director Marc Lettau noted in a club statement, "He has already proved himself at the highest level and still has a great deal of potential to develop."
