Como has made a quick breakthrough in the race for Borussia Dortmund's Yan Couto, according to Di Marzio.

Dortmund is loaning the right-back to Italy with an option to buy, with Sky Germany's Patrick Berger suggesting a fee of €20million.

Couto, who is under contract with the Westphalians giants until 2030, initially arrived from Manchester City for €25 million.

Hence, if a sale occurs instead of a loan, BVB will want a comparable transfer fee to make some money back on the Brazilian.

Di Marzio believes the fourth-placed team from last season's Serie A is said to have made contact with BVB in the past few hours.

Just a few days ago, it was revealed that Como was pessimistic about the Couto deal and was looking at alternatives, but that has changed.
