Frank Schmidt, current head coach of 1.FC Heidenheim, believes Arijon Ibrahimović can definitely succeed at Bayern Munich.

“I can only judge the time Ari spent with us and how satisfied we were with his performances," Schmidt said, in an interview with Sport1.

"He is still a young player who took his first significant and consistent steps in the Bundesliga last season.

"Just think of the match in Munich with three games left in the campaign - if you saw what he produced on the pitch on that day.

"You could already see the potential and believe that he is only at the beginning of his career. He still has the ability to make huge steps forward, but he also has a lot to learn.

“I'm convinced he can achieve that in the environment at Bayern Munich, but nothing will come automatically,” Schmidt added.

With over 2,346 minutes played under Schmidt at 1.FC Heidenheim last season, it's clear the winger was highly rated by the veteran coach.
