Hungarian national team roster features six German club players

Germany's upcoming European Championship group stage opponents have released a tournament roster featuring six German footballing professionals. 

As was the case three summers ago, the German national team will the Hungarian national football team in group stage play. The Magyars - once again coached by Italian trainer Marco Rossi - will carry a roster featuring six German footballing professionals this time. Leipzig teammates Willi Orban and Peter Gulacsi are once again projected starters. 

Former Leipzig pro Dominik Szoboszlai returns, this time sporting the captain's armband. Gulacsi and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim defender Attila Szalai (currently on loan with Freiburg) served as alternate captains during the most recent international break. Gulacsi, Orban, and Szalai are joined by Freiburg's Roland Sallai and Union Berlin's Andras Schäfer to round out the five top-flight professionals on Rossi's roster.

Hertha BSC defender Marton Dardai - who switched allegiances this past spring  - has also been included. Autumn Eintracht Frankfurt signing Krisztián Lisztes is one of five players on a reserve replacement list. Germany face Hungary on June 19th in their second group stage match. The two sides played to a 2-2 draw in Munich at the conclusion of group stage play in the 2021 tournament.
