Borussia Dortmund have been struggling on the injury front in recent weeks, but things are starting to look up.

According to local media Ruhr Nachrichten, Waldemar Anton is set to return to full training this week following a hip problem, with the centre-back expected to start against Freiburg following the international break.

There's also a chance that Karim Adeyemi could return to the squad for that game. The 22-year-old, who has been sidelined with a torn muscle, is also set to begin full training, with the big question now being how his muscles will cope with the increased strain.

Julien Duranville is doing light running, but given his history, Dortmund are wary of rushing him back too soon.

Niklas Süle's status is unclear, with the report suggesting it could be days or even weeks before the defender returns to team training.

According to another German media outlet, Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung, Giovanni Reyna is expected back on the training pitch this week.

One player who will definitely miss the Freiburg game is captain Emre Can, who has been suspended for two matches following his dismissal against Mainz.

Julian Ryerson and Yan Couto both returned to the squad for that game.
