After four consecutive league wins, Bayern Munich were held to a 1-1 draw by Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday night.

Bayern Munich captain Manuel Neuer was disappointed with the result, saying his side were the better side.

"We deserved more because we were clearly the better team," Neuer told Sky Germany in a post-match interview.

“We had the better chances. The goal we conceded was very annoying.”

A mistake by Aleksandar Pavlovic led to the corner resulting in Robert Andrich opening the scoring for Bayer Leverkusen. But Neuer saw no reason to point the finger at the youngster, who late scored Bayern's equaliser.

“It is normal to make mistakes like that. It doesn't mean he's responsible for the goal we conceded,” underlined the veteran.
