Borussia Dortmund legend Marco Reus was present for his former club’s 2-2 Champions League draw with Bodø/Glimt on Wednesday night.
Working as a pundit for DAZN, the 36-year-old offered some advice to his ex-teammate Julian Brandt, who is out of contract at the end of the season and in talks with the club over a potential extension.
"Of course, I would advise him to stay," Reus said, while noting that the decision isn’t solely up to Brandt.
"In the end, both parties have to agree. We know how the business works. This can’t happen overnight. Both sides need to be sure. Time will tell."
He added that Brandt brings qualities "that this squad maybe doesn’t have a lot of."
Brandt certainly made a case for an extension on Wednesday, scoring both of BVB’s goals in the draw.
