The transfer of Leverkusen center halve Panagiotis Retsos to Hellas Verona was finally confirmed on Tuesday evening, as was the move of Hertha BSC midfielder Dennis Jastrzembski's move to Śląsk Wrocław.

Germany's preeminent footballing publication and it's main sporting tabloid report that neither German club will receive compensation for the departed players.

The final details on Panagiotis Retsos' departure to the Italian Serie A are now confirmed. The Greek CB, for whom Bayer 04 Leverkusen paid €17.5 million for in 2017, will depart German football on a free transfer.

When not on loan from his Bundesliga parent club, Retsos made 31 appearances for die Werskelf over parts of four seasons. His departure had been very much been treated as a given, in light of the fact that Edmond Tapsoba, Odilon Kossounou, Jonathan Tah, and now Piero Hincapie lay ahead of him on the depth chart.

Both German footballing magazine Kicker and German tabloid Sport Bild report that Leverkusen shall receive no transfer fee for the 23-year-old, despite the fact that Retsos' working papers with B04 ran through the end of this season.

The two sources also report that the same is the case for another German football outgoing transfer confirmed Tuesday evening. Hertha midfielder Dennis Jastrzembski's transfer to the Polish Ekstraklasa has also been confirmed.

Rumors that the capital city side would obtain some compensation for the 21-year-old were apparently untrue. Kicker notes that Hertha allowed the youngster to depart on a free.
