Report: Florian Grillitsch to Fiorentina
Hoffenheim midfielder Florian Grillitsch looks to be on the move to Italy as Fabrizio Romano reports that talks are underway.
The Austrian international has been linked with a move away from Germany for quite some time with a contract that now expires in just a few days. It seems set that Grillitsch is headed to Fiorentina where he'll look to regain his form in a new league.
Grillitsch has been a difference-maker during his time at Hoffenheim, but this past campaign has been hampered by Covid-19 and muscular injuries. The former Werder Bremen star has shown his versatility for Die Kraichgauer since his move in 2017 as he can play as a center-back or in midfield, especially as a No. 6.
Fiorentina are in well advanced talks to sign Florian Grillitsch as free agent. Austrian midfielder's contract with Hoffenheim will expire in the coming days and it won't be extended. 🟣🇦🇹 #transfers

This transfer makes sense as Fiorentina's Lucas Torreira is headed out of the club. After reports linked the 26-year-old with the likes of Lazio and Arsenal, Grillitsch is ready to complete his move to play European football as talks are underway for a contract until 2026.
