Report: Leipzig join Frankfurt in race for Baumgartner

RB Leipzig are said to be interested in Hoffenheim's Christopher Baumgartner, who has also been linked with Eintracht Frankfurt.
RB Leipzig have joined Eintracht Frankfurt in the race to sign Hoffenheim's Christoph Baumgartner, according to Sky Germany.

Baumgartner reportedly has a release clause in his contract that will drop from 30 million to 15 million if 15th-placed Hoffenheim are relegated.

Leipzig are said to have expressed interest in the player, but there is nothing concrete at the moment. However, this could change quickly, especially if Hoffenheim are relegated.

Baumgartner, 23, has scored five goals and provided four assists in 24 Bundesliga appearances this season.
