Mainz and Germany U21 international Brajan Gruda has reportedly been offered the chance to play for Albania.

According to Sport Bild, the Albanian Football Association is trying to convince the 19-year-old to play for Albania.

So far, however, their attempts to sign the highly-rated attacker have been unsuccessful.

Born in Germany of Albanian descent, Gruda is eligible to play for both countries.

He made his Germany Under-21 debut in September and has made five appearances for Antonio Di Salvo's side.

The 19-year-old has made 12 appearances for Mainz this season, scoring a goal and providing an assist.
