Kicker is reporting that Austria coach Ralf Rangnick is Bayern Munich's first alternative to Xabi Alonso in their search for a new coach.

Rangnick has a close relationship with Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund, whom he knows from their time together at RB Salzburg.

However, it is unclear whether Rangnick would be available to take the job after the Euros with Austria.

Sky Germany and Bild have previously named Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi as an alternative to Xabi Alonso should Bayern fail to land the Spaniard from Bayer Leverkusen.

According to Kicker, Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl particularly sees De Zerbi as an option, but there are doubts about the Italian coach within the club's top hierarchy.

The report further claims that Antonio Conte, José Mourinho, Zinedine Zidane and Julian Nagelsmann are not being considered.
